The argon station robot of No. 3 converter is a six-axis robot, the hardware part is composed of robot body, robot control cabinet, PLC (programmable logic controller), bunker system, video, system detection components, etc. During the work, the robot will put the temperature measuring gun on the top of the long arm into the molten steel of more than 1000 degrees Celsius, according to the computer instructions, take out the sample of molten steel, and accurately send it to the testing platform, so that professional and technical personnel can judge the temperature and sample composition in the furnace of molten steel furnace, and improve the success rate of temperature measurement and sampling. The whole process takes only more than 1 minute.

After the robot is on the job, it completely gets rid of the traditional manual temperature measurement and sampling operation defects, reduces the cost, improves the product quality, and ensures the safety of the operator. At present, the digital intelligence Department of New Steel Group is trying to find ways to promote more robots to the production line positions with high labor intensity and many safety hazards.
